Wel-Met Alumni Roundup!

Welcome Wel-Metters! Wel-Met Camps clearly enriched our lives so powerfully that our experiences and relationships have endured well past that very last bus arrived at 50 Madison Ave. Though some of us may have been campers for only one or two summers, others actually started in Unit 1 and returned season after season, eventually becoming counselors. And there were also many who first encountered Wel-Met as staff members. Whatever the length of time, the richness of the journey cleary had a profound effect on all of us. With our countless memories in mind, let's reach beyond the annual Wel-Met Tee Shirt day (Saturday 5th August) to help support some brave and beautiful campers and their familes at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is a community dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families through a variety of year-round programs. The Camp delivers fun, friendship, and a healthy dose of mischief through its signature summer program and weekend sessions at the Camp facility in Ashford, Conn. as well as outreach to hospitals, clinics, and communities across the Northeast. All services are free of charge to campers and their family members.

Through our generosity we can help provide that "different kind of healing" to children and families coping with serious illness, and offer them the opportunity to create their own memorable camp experiences. Please consider donating what feels comfortable for you. Sending you a huge Wel-Met thank you!!!
