Kate Finnefrock's Page of Marathon Hope and Insanity
Welcome to my fundraising page! I'm running the TCS New York City Marathon and fundraising to support the mission and programs of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
If you know me at all, you know that I signed up for running a marathon in a of moment of insanity. I am not a born runner. My spirit animal is more tortoise than gazelle. My work/life schedule is already nutty and I really like sleeping in.
However, my friend Jackie challenged me to do it - just this once - and to do so for a group whom really deserve the donations (This camp is amazing - see the info below*)
I'd love your help to reach the fundraising goal and to support me throughout these next few months where I push myself to somehow complete this training and then, miraculously, hopefully, the full 26.2 miles.
Thank you so much for your support,
Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing "a different kind of healing" to more than 20,000 seriously ill children and family members annually - all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in more than 40 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast.
Please help me reach (or even exceed!) my goal. With your generosity, we can all share in the joy of knowing that we are helping to provide "a different kind of healing" to seriously ill children and family members.
