Let's Run Ragnar!
Hello everyone and welcome to my Ragnar page!
I am so excited to share that I'm going to be running Ragnar Relay Cape Cod this summer! My team and I will be fundraising to support The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, the place I have been so lucky to be a part of for the last three years.
Anyone who's heard me talk about camp will be able to tell you that camp has become a very important part of my life, and has recently played a huge role in my decision to become a nurse.
A little about Camp:
Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing "a different kind of healing" to more than 20,000 seriously ill children and family members annually - all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in more than 40 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast.
It costs $2,500 to send a kid to camp, so by raising $6,000 my team, with your help, will send the equivalent of 2.4 campers to camp this summer!!
A little about the race:
Ragnar is a 200ish mile relay race on May 10-11 that goes all through the night, and all throughout Cape Cod. We each sign up for different legs that we run, so that someone is always running toward our goal. My team consists of 12 counselors and friends who believe in what Hole in the Wall does, and who are dedicated to bringing the magic to each camper we've had the privilege of meeting (and those we haven't).
Please help me reach (or even exceed!) my goal of $500. With your generosity, we can all share in the joy of knowing that we are helping to provide "a different kind of healing" to seriously ill children and family members.
Much love,
Julia
